Foe types
Cultists, Runners, Bursters, and the Unworthy are the foe types. The Unworthy are Leviathan's rejects, which ties them to the factions. Cultists also belong to the Scarlet Church. Runners and Bursters are foe types only, with no second faction role.
A stealth takedown on any enemy is Silent, but Deadly. Wetwork is stricter: 10 cultists, stealth, and nobody alerted. Knife kills, broken melee weapons, repairs, reinforcements, and beheadings are the melee achievements. Those achievements name a method, and any of those foes can be the target.
- Cultists belong to the Scarlet Church and show up in fights.
- Runners are a foe type only, with no faction role.
- Bursters are a foe type only, with no faction role.
- The Unworthy are Leviathan's rejects, and you fight them.
Weapons, scavenging, and the shop
Combat uses melee and firearms, dodging, scavenging ammo and healing, traps, and bartering for upgrades. Ammo on the ground is part of staying in a fight. Healing is scavenged the same way. Trapper, at 2.4 percent, is damage to 10 or more enemies with bear traps.
Firearm goals start with any gun kill. They continue through one upgrade, a filled firearm loadout, a finished upgrade track, the full gun collection, two enemies with one shot, six kills through the revolver scope, and a headshot from at least 30 metres. Melee goals start with a knife kill and continue through durability, repair, reinforcement, and beheading.
The vendor is where coins turn into upgrades. Finders, Keepers is a small pickup. What's Your Pleasure, Sir? is any purchase. What're Ya Buyin'? is 666 coins spent. Financial Elite is 1337 coins spent. What're Ya Sellin'? is 999 coins earned from sales. Barter for an upgrade when a gun or a blade needs the next step and your purse can pay.
- Finders, Keepers, 93.1 percent: a small coin pickup.
- With My Own Two Hands, 89 percent: one item from the crafting menu.
- What's Your Pleasure, Sir?, 66.4 percent: any purchase from the mysterious vendor.
- What're Ya Buyin'?, 42 percent: 666 coins spent. Financial Elite, 31.4 percent: 1337 coins spent.
- What're Ya Sellin'?, 25.1 percent: 999 coins earned from sales.
- Librarian, 5.9 percent: every crafting recipe. Artificer, 1.2 percent: every craftable item.
Crafting sits beside that loop. One crafted item, the full recipe list, and every craftable item are three separate badges. A crafted supply can be what you carry into the next room even when the foe names stay the same.
Cultists overlap the Scarlet Church. Wetwork, at 17.7 percent, wants ten of them dead to stealth with nobody alerted. Silent, but Deadly, at 83.8 percent, is one stealth takedown on any enemy. Runners and Bursters are foe types only. They have no church role and no Cenobite role. The Unworthy are Leviathan's rejects and a faction, so fighting them is both a foe encounter and a faction encounter.
Bear traps count toward Trapper. The other method achievements are the knife kill, the broken melee weapon, the repair, the reinforcement, the three beheadings, any firearm kill, one firearm upgrade, a finished upgrade track, a filled firearm loadout, the full gun collection, two enemies with one shot, six kills through the revolver scope, and a headshot from at least 30 metres.
The box still decides some fights. Headtaker, at 6.7 percent, is three or more enemies killed by one telekinetic throw. Twisted Firestarter, at 26.4 percent, is ten or more enemies burned to death. Hell Chains spend Suffering from executions and have no public achievement of their own. Firearm, melee, stealth, coin, and crafting achievements are grouped that way on the achievement index.
